Called in whilst visiting Thirsk to get something for lunch. We had the deli sausage roll plus ham salad roll and a cheese and ham roll. Wow! One of the best sausage rolls I've ever had and proper thick cut ham in the roll. Definitely worth calling in.
We were travelling back to Manchester having visited Middlesborough last Saturday & decided to make a pit stop recce of Thirsk. We were quite peckish & decided to get a bacon butty. We saw the queue at Thomas' & didn't have much time (only paid for an hour parking) so went to Greggs, to who, I am eternally grateful for saying they stopped serving bacon butties after 11am (it was 10 past) so we returned to Thomas' the queue was still long, however, the speed & efficiency of the friendly staff was amazing, we were served very quickly. The value of the Coffee & bacon butty at £3.50 made me think it would be quite basic, however, (& this is the reason for my review) this was without doubt the very best bacon sandwich I have ever had!! 3 of the thickest leanest slices of quality bacon on the freshest of buns plus a large high quality coffee. Wow, it is so rare to have such a quality experience, it is literally all I talked about on the journey home. Thank you & well done Thomas' for maintaining value & quality, in this age of mediocrity . I can't wait to return.
Very impressed with the range, the cleanliness and the friendly staff. Covid-19 compliant in a clear but sensible way. I especially liked the choice of Deli Sausage Rolls - plain, or with added Black Pudding. Proper Yorkshire!
Quick friendly service. Lovely fresh sandwich with a nice coffee to go with. There is much better quality than any other main chain bakers!
Why do staff In the Thirsk branch not wear disposable gloves when making bacon and sausage sandwiches? How do I know the lady who served me hadn't just picked her nose or not washed her hands from visiting the bathroom? She also had really long hair, that wasn't tied up and dangled over the front of her in the direction of my bacon butty! Do you think this is acceptable?
