Went to ate o clock last night for my 30th birthday with my fiancé, sister, brother in law and nephew, it was our first time there and we had an amazing experience. The food was 10/10, the atmosphere was lovely, service was really quick and the staff were really friendly. I was brought out a happy birthday dessert and a cake with candles which had been previously arranged (as a surprise) by my fiancé and sister, the staff at ate o clock went above and beyond to accommodate. We will definitely be back!

First time experiencing this restaurant. The staff were so friendly and inviting and professional. Really wonderful folks. The seating was a bit strange as there was a more indoor area but we were sat right next to the door which was quite chilly in the middle of winter. The food was good; I had a chicken burger and although the portion was good, the chicken was quite dry and I had exactly 4 chips in the little chip bucket they put on the plate which felt a little depressing. Other than that, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the experience.

A great place to have dinner, for 6! We were seated in the indoor dining room which was pretty full and noisy. Food good altho the panacotta rather small with one raspberry! Rump steak to be recommended!

We went to Ate O’Clock and overall the experience was good, although it didn’t particularly stand out. The ambiance is pleasant and the space feels comfortable for a relaxed dinner. The service was friendly and efficient throughout the meal. We ordered two two-course set menus, plus two additional main courses, and finished with two desserts to share between the four of us. Among the dishes we tried were a chicken pâté served with chutney and toasted bread, a tomato soup with croutons that came with bread and butter, a mushroom pasta, a classic fish & chips, and a fish fillet with mussels. The dishes were nicely presented and well prepared, although overall the flavors were good but fairly straightforward, without any dish that truly stood out. The desserts worked well to finish the meal — a sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and a panna cotta with strawberries — pleasant, though also quite expected. The price felt appropriate for the style of restaurant and the overall quality of the food. In summary, it’s a pleasant place with a nice atmosphere and correct service, suitable for a solid meal, although the food could have a bit more personality to really stand out.
