Simply fabulous with that authentic feel of viking themed madness. The Valhalla Pale Ale was a greater starter to go with the Ragnaroc feast of a platter. The mead menu was a must to finish off a lovely visit. The welcome was warm and friendly rounding off a really enjoyable visit.
Deceivingingly bigger than expected, 3 floors! Ive been here a few times in the past and never knew about the stairs. Ground floor was busy because the place is so awesome, middle floor and top floor had more seating. Theme is fantastic, drinks are great and staff were exceptional!
I’ve been wanting to visit for a long time so when we finally visited York this place was top of my list. It’s in keeping with Yorks rich history and the place is really cool! Fantastic Viking themed artwork and very friendly staff. I tried their own Valhalla Pale Ale and it was great. This place lived up to expectations and is a must when visiting York! We first come to Valhalla in 2023 and absolutely loved the vibe, we have returned a few times since and this year we returned for our wedding reception! The All Father Hall squeezed in about 30 of us, and luckily being a weekday afternoon there was plenty of space to spread out downstairs after we finished our speeches and delicious buffet. Staff were brilliant with all correspondence from start to finish, there was glasses of mead awaiting us on arrival and an abundance of hot food followed as soon as we told them we were ready for it - many of our guests said the buffet was the best ‘wedding food’ they’d ever had!! We was able to come back and collect our decor the next morning and found the the staff had neatly boxed up our excess cakes for us, and neatly arranged our items so we could get it all boxed up in no time at all. Valhalla made our big day perfect ❤️
Fantastic little cafe and bar in the city centre. Very chilled vibes in the day. Serves great sharing platters amd a good selection of drinks....the valhalla mead is a must! Rock and metal fans rejoice, Valhalla has you covered! The evenings are a great time to unwind with a drink and listen to decent music. Staff are very friendly and helpful, absolutely cannot fault them. Overall an absolute do not miss when you are in York.
